This rural property in Pensacola, FL, experienced frequent grid outages and had three separate meters. This project included an all-electric home, guest house, and office. The home required a robust BESS system to handle heavy loads. SPAN manages the electrical loads during outages, and the Sol-Ark handles the power required for each meter. The project also included products from Homegrid, Tigo, IronRidge, and VSUN. The opportunity to provide this client with an expandable system was paramount. The utility only purchases power at a wholesale rate, so maximizing self-consumption was a goal for this customer, which can be achieved over time by expanding storage capacity and PV, if necessary.
