7.2kW Carbon Neutral Residence

The owner's of this home in Rockingham, Virginia desired a carbon-neutral residence when they began consulting Beck Builders.  In addition to a 7.2kW photovoltaic system, the home inclused a horizontal geothrermal looped system and robust insulation to meet their net-zero goal.  The full system is expected to meet the energy needs of an electric car-charger as well.  In saving excess energy, the homeowners hope to eentually offset other carbon-intensive aspects of their life including airline travel.
