Greentech Renewables and G&S Electric are proud to have teamed up to develop a series of off-grid solar installations in the area around Phoenix, AZ. The first of the initial four sites is powered by clean, renewable energy provided by a 19kW ground-mounted array. All four sites support telecommunications satellite towers in the Arizona desert.

MK Deka batteries were chosen due to the world-class reputation of Deka and the field-tested capabilities of the high storage capacity Unigy II lead acid batteries. The project features a 473,664 kWh Unigy II battery bank, complemented by a fuel cell generator.

The IronRidge ground mount configuration underwent a host of changes and was complicated by several structural and layout issues. Throughout the entire process, IronRidge provided steadfast customer support and invaluable engineering expertise.

“We experienced a lot of difficult design issues with this project and we’re very glad to have partnered with a company like Greentech Renewables,” states G&S Electric President Jaysen Fails. G&S Electric is a premier solar electrical contractor based out of Phoenix, AZ. Recent G&S solar projects include multiple installations at Arizona State University and the Biodesign Institute.
