This was a another fantastic installation in Laguna Beach, CA of a 6.8 kW solar PV system. The houses in Laguna often have minimal roof space, so we wanted to design a system with maximum power density. The owner used the opportunity to put a new roof on his house so I teamed up with Davey's Roofing and Greentech Renewables.
Greentech Renewables designed the system built the permit packet for the city. We used 32 Sanyo HIT 215A solar modules with Enphase M210 micro inverters. The flashings were added to standoffs in order prevent water leakage. Unirac SolarMount low profile tilt legs provided a 17 degrees tilt for optimal efficiency.
