LG Chem RESU 10H Project

A resident of St. Paul Minnesota, Jukka Kukkonen is one of the first people in the United States to successfully install an LG Chem RESU10H system with both a primary and secondary battery. Jukka is an EV Consultant and former automotive engineer who worked with Natural Energy Solutions LLC to complete this project.

The 11.6kW, 18.6kWh project features Heliene Panels, IronRidge racking, a StorEdge inverter, and two LG Chem RESU10H batteries. The garage houses two electric vehicles; therefore, the batteries will discharge at night to ensure the cars are fully charged for the next day.

"I've been very impressed by the reliability of the StorEdge and LG Chem system," said Kukkonen. "Because I was one of the first people to install a secondary battery, SolarEdge had to program my inverter with the proper software settings. I was surprised to walk into my garage one night to see the inverter screen flashing with updates. SolarEdge was able to flawlessly update my system remotely."

Kukkonen firmly believes the future of transportation and energy lies in the marriage of solar PV and electric vehicles.
